Articles: stickers

A sticker is often the simplest way to make ordinary packaging feel like yours. The texts in this tag show how to match a label to the product, where stickers earn their keep in daily company work, and how to personalise a plain box without ordering a printed one.

More about: stickers

Stickers and labels are everywhere in a business: on the product, on the shipping box, on a binder and on a jar of something made at home. They are also the quickest way to make something neutral look like yours.

Product labels

One question keeps returning: a calm layout or rich decoration. The answer depends on the shelf the product sits on and on who buys it. A simple label with a clear name works for everyday products and for online sales, where a small photograph does the work. Elaborate artwork earns its place where the product tells a story and stands next to similar ones.

Stickers as personalisation

  • A band around a box - holds the contents and carries the logo at once.
  • A sleeve - more room for content and easy to change for a new batch.
  • A closing sticker - seals the parcel and shapes the moment of opening.
  • An information label - contents, dates and batch numbers in one place.

These forms combine well. A sleeve with the name of a batch and a small sticker with a packing date work better together than one crowded label. For short runs it is also the quickest way to tell one set apart from another.

Before you order

Check what the sticker has to hold on to: smooth board, glass and film all behave differently. Decide whether the label should peel off or stay for good. If the details change often, it is easier to order a neutral version with your logo and add a second, smaller sticker with current information.
