ZOE Soft Rubber - a rubberised barrel, white included

The ZOE Soft Rubber has a rubberised finish and comes in five colours: black, red, blue, green and white. The white is the interesting one. On a rubberised surface it looks clean and calm, and it takes engraving well. White versions also exist on the VENO RUBBER and Touch Pen GIO, but the ZOE has another advantage: the largest engraving field of all our rubberised models.

The grip is clearly marked out. Just above the silver cone there is a thin ring, and below it a section of barrel covered in fine diamond knurling in the colour of the body. Your fingers get a better hold, even though the rest of the pen is smooth and matt.

The pen is 135 mm long and 10 mm across. The engraving field is 65.0×6.0 mm - against 60.0×6.0 mm on the VENO RUBBER and 40.0×3.5 mm on the COSMO Soft Rubber and Touch Pen GIO.

Where the ZOE works

• Everyday writing - the rubberised grip tells most for people who write a lot by hand.
• Companies with light branding - a white rubberised barrel is hard to find elsewhere.
• Conferences and training - handed out with the materials and usually kept afterwards.
• Longer names - 65 mm of field is the most you will get on a rubberised barrel.
• Welcome sets - a soft-touch surface feels more considered than a plain plastic pen.

Laser engraving

The laser removes the top layer of the surface and exposes the lighter material beneath. Nothing is applied on top, so there is no ink to peel or rub away - the mark is part of the barrel and lasts as long as the pen.

Engraving is single-colour: the laser exposes the material rather than printing colour, so a multi-colour logo appears in one tone. On black or dark green the mark is more pronounced; on white it is quieter and more subtle.

One side or two

In the calculator, under "Marking", choose "One-sided engraving" or "Two-sided engraving". One side is usually enough for a logo with a company name or a web address. Two sides help when you want to keep a logo and contact details apart - each then gets its own field. The two-sided version costs more; the difference shows in the calculator.

The engraving file and free design work

Send finished artwork as a vector PDF in black only, with text converted to curves. Everything black will be engraved. Avoid photographs and greyscale - engraving does not reproduce halftones.

No artwork ready? With an order placed with us we prepare it free of charge. E-mail your logo and the text for the pen; our designer will send a proof for approval, prepared for the barrel colour you have chosen, so you can judge the effect before production.

Quantity and ordering

The minimum order is 100 pieces, produced in multiples of 50. The price steps in the calculator are 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000 pieces, and the unit price falls as the quantity grows.

The lead time appears in the calculator once you choose a configuration, counted from your approval of the proof. The first version of the design usually comes within 1-2 working days; each further round of changes adds one working day.
