Eco door hangers - EKO door hangers - eco-friendly door hangers on natural EKO papers, with no lamination, for hotels, guesthouses, agritourism farms, spas and apartments. Format 76×220 mm in six die shapes, single or double-sided printing, messages such as "Do not disturb" and "Please clean the room". You can check the price straight away in the calculator above.

EKO door hangers are natural hangers you leave for the guest right on the handle - unlaminated, on papers with a colour, texture and feel of their own. If you run an eco hotel, a guesthouse, an agritourism farm, a glamping site or a natural spa and want even the small items in a room to speak of your approach to nature, this is the material made for you. Instead of technical white coated stock you get a calm, warm EKO paper that creates a different impression on the guest at once.

It is still a fully practical hotel hanger: it keeps the staff's work in order, lets the guest pass on simple information without phoning reception, and helps avoid misunderstandings over cleaning. The difference is in the character - EKO looks more natural, less mass-produced, and suits brands that want to underline the local, the calm and a considered, responsible way of staying.

What you can use EKO door hangers for

  • Classic messages for the staff - "Do not disturb", "Please clean the room", "Room occupied" or "Quiet please", in Polish or English. That is the everyday language of a hotel, and a hanger makes it work without a word.
  • Eco communication - a note about changing towels on request, saving water, cleaning on request or the rules of a green stay. On EKO paper a message like that sounds credible, because the form matches the content.
  • Information about what the property offers - the spa, room service, breakfast, the restaurant, the guest panel. You can also give the reception number or the Wi-Fi details, so the guest has everything to hand.
  • A QR code - to the guest panel, room service, Google reviews or an extra offer. Just make sure it is large and high in contrast.
  • A consistent set of materials - hangers round out hotel card holders, letterhead, information cards, menus and vouchers, creating one considered form of communication in the property.

They work excellently in hotels, apartments, guesthouses, resorts, spas, health resorts, holiday homes, agritourism farms, glamping sites and guest rooms, and in clinics, offices and meeting rooms.

Which format to choose

Every hanger measures 76×220 mm, and six die shapes are available:

  • Door hanger 01 - Door hanger 06 - the classic 76×220 mm door hanger format with an opening for the handle. The variants differ in outline, the cutting line - you can see the shape in its template.

The size is large enough for the message to be legible from a distance while staying convenient in daily use. It holds a logo, a pictogram, short text, a language version, a QR code or the reception number. Just remember that the hanger hangs on a handle - keep the key content away from the opening, the edges and the lines of the die, so that everything looks even once it is cut.

Which EKO paper to choose

We print EKO hangers on stiffer papers with a natural character. Each has its own shade and texture and reproduces the print differently, so it is worth matching it to the style of the property and the design:

  • Kraftliner 300 gsm - kraft, raw and the most natural in appearance. It suits a rustic style, agritourism farms, glamping sites, guesthouses and craft brands. It works best with strong contrast, dark printing and simple typography.
  • Kazan, ecru, 300 gsm, with grass fibre - a warm, organic paper that speaks directly of closeness to nature, ecology and wellness. It suits hotels, guesthouses, spas, agritourism farms, resorts and apartments. The 300 gsm weight gives solid stiffness.
  • Flora, Giglio, 350 gsm - light, elegant and versatile. A good choice for boutique hotels, apartments and premium eco properties that want to combine natural paper with a clean, subtle aesthetic. It likes minimalism, pictograms and calm typography.
  • Flora, Tabacco, 350 gsm - a darker, bolder and distinctive shade. Excellent for kraft, boutique and premium designs, but it calls for care with colours - a simple layout, strong contrast and larger text work best.

The light papers (Kazan ecru, Flora Giglio) are more versatile, while the darker ones (Kraftliner, Flora Tabacco) build a strong, natural mood, as long as the design is matched to them.

Why there is no lamination

EKO papers live by their texture and natural feel, and that is their greatest strength. Film would kill that effect: it would smooth the surface, add a plastic sheen and take away exactly what the paper is chosen for. So we deliberately leave EKO hangers unlaminated. You get a natural, matt character consistent with an eco message, and the guest feels the difference in the hand at once between an ordinary hanger and something considered.

Printing

There are two options:

  • Single-sided - the message on one side. It works on simple hangers: a logo, an icon and short text for the staff or the guest.
  • Double-sided - the most practical in a hotel. One side carries "Do not disturb" and the other "Please clean the room". You can also make a bilingual version, in Polish and English for instance, or combine a practical message with an eco note.

Important: on EKO paper the colour of the stock affects the look of the print. On kraft, ecru and darker shades the colours will be more muted, warmer and less contrasty than on white coated paper. That is not a fault, it is the nature of these papers. So go for simple messages, clear pictograms, larger text and good contrast between the text and the paper. If you use a QR code, make it large enough, high in contrast and set back from the handle opening, and test it before sending the file.

File check and graphic design

With the order you choose one of the file preparation options:

  • No file check - for agencies, designers and anyone confident about their design. The file goes into production without further control.
  • File check by a designer - the designer checks the technical preparation: format, bleed, safe distances, image quality, colours and how the file was saved. On hangers they also watch the layout in relation to the die, the handle opening, the cutting lines, whether the text is set back from the edges, and the contrast on EKO paper.
  • Simple graphic design - if you have no file ready, send us your logo, the text, the messages, contact details, pictograms and your brand colours, and we will prepare a simple design matched to the format, the EKO paper and the printing.

We particularly recommend the technical check if the design was made in Canva, an online generator, an office program, a presentation app or with AI tools. Files like these often look good on screen but need adjusting to the die, the bleed, CMYK, the resolution, the handle opening or the contrast on EKO paper. Bear in mind too that the check does not cover the content - typos, translations, numbers, dates, QR codes, contact details or compliance with the regulations. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the content.

How to prepare the file for print

  • File format - a PDF that follows our specification is best. We also accept good quality JPG or PNG files.
  • Resolution and colour - photographs at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, the design in CMYK.
  • Bleed and the safe area - if artwork runs to the edge, add bleed. Move the logo, text, pictograms, a QR code or the reception number away from the edges and from the handle opening.
  • The cutting die - use the right template. Allow for the cutting lines, the handle opening, the bleed, the safe area and the layout of the front and back when printing on both sides.
  • The colour of EKO paper - on kraft, ecru and darker stocks the colours can be less intense. Avoid very small text, thin lines, low contrast and small QR codes.
  • Legibility - a hanger has to be legible from some distance, so stick to large text, short messages and simple pictograms.

Before sending, check the content, the translations, the QR codes, the reception number and the property's details. Our site also has a dedicated section on preparing files and the most common mistakes.

Eco door hangers - questions and answers

Need help? Contact us

What are EKO door hangers?

They are printed handle hangers made on natural EKO papers, with no lamination. They are most often used in hotels, guesthouses and apartments as "Do not disturb" or "Please clean the room" messages.

Which hanger format is available?

Every hanger measures 76×220 mm - the practical, classic size for a hotel door hanger on a handle. Six die shapes are available, Door hanger 01 to 06, differing in outline. Each has an opening for the handle, and you can see the shape you pick in its template.

Which EKO papers are available?

Your choices are: Kraftliner 300 gsm, Kazan ecru 300 gsm with grass fibre, Flora Giglio 350 gsm and Flora Tabacco 350 gsm. Each has a different shade and character.

Which EKO paper should I choose for hotel hangers?

Kraftliner 300 gsm works on kraft and rustic designs. Kazan ecru 300 gsm suits natural properties, spas, guesthouses and hotels close to nature. Flora Giglio 350 gsm is light and elegant, while Flora Tabacco 350 gsm has a darker, bolder character.

Does the colour of the paper affect the look of the print?

Yes. EKO papers have a shade of their own, so colours can look different than on white coated stock - they tend to be more muted, warmer and less contrasty. That is why it is worth using legible text, simple pictograms and good contrast between the text and the paper.

Why are EKO hangers unlaminated?

Because film would kill what EKO paper is chosen for - its natural texture and matt feel. Without lamination the hanger keeps a natural character consistent with an eco message, and the guest feels the difference in the hand.

What can EKO door hangers be used for?

As hotel messages for the staff, a marking for an occupied room, a note about cleaning on request, towel changes or saving water, and for information about the spa, room service, breakfast or extra services.

Can the hangers be double-sided?

Yes. Single-sided and double-sided printing are both available. In hotel practice the double-sided version is the most common - one side "Do not disturb" and the other "Please clean the room", for instance.

Can the hanger have text in Polish and English?

Yes, you can prepare the hanger in Polish, in English or in several languages. It is worth keeping it legible, though, and not putting too many language versions on a small surface.

Are EKO hangers suitable for premium hotels?

Yes. They suit boutique hotels, premium apartments, spas and guesthouses, especially when the design is minimalist, legible and matched to the natural paper.

Can a QR code go on the hanger?

Yes. A QR code can lead to the guest panel, room service, Google reviews or information about the spa and the restaurant. It should be large enough, high in contrast and set back from the edges and the handle opening.

Do I have to use a cutting die?

Yes, with door hangers it is best to use the right template or cutting die. The design has to allow for the handle opening, the cutting lines, the bleed and a safe distance between the important elements and the edge.

Can I prepare the design in Canva?

You can, but it is worth choosing the technical check by a designer. Files from Canva, online generators, office programs or AI tools often need adjusting to the die, the bleed, CMYK, the resolution, the handle opening and the contrast on EKO paper.

Does the file check cover the text and translations?

No. The check by a designer covers the technical preparation of the file for print, but does not check the content, typos, translations, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, QR codes, terms or compliance with the regulations. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the content.

Can you prepare a simple hanger design?

Yes. You can choose the simple graphic design option - just send us your logo, the messages, contact details, pictograms and your brand colours, and we will prepare a simple design matched to the format and the EKO paper you chose.

Which properties are EKO hangers a good choice for?

They work in hotels, apartments, guesthouses, resorts, spas, health resorts, holiday homes, agritourism farms, glamping sites and guest rooms, and in clinics, offices and meeting rooms.
