Classic flyers - product details
Classic flyers - Classic leaflets are a simple, versatile way to get information across about a company, a promotion, a product or an event. You can hand them out, display them in stands, put them into parcels, or use them as small information cards and menus. You choose the format, paper, printing and finish, and the price of your configuration is shown straight away in the online calculator.
Classic leaflets - printing online
A leaflet is still one of the most practical advertising materials there is. You can hand it to passers-by, leave it on a counter, put it in a stand, add it to an order or give it to a customer along with other company material.
On a small surface you can fit the key information about an offer, a promotion or an event, and in larger formats also a price list, a menu, a map or a fuller description.
Leaflets work when a venue opens, for discount campaigns, events, seasonal offers, presenting a company or promoting a particular product. On larger runs they are convenient to distribute, and the wide choice of formats and papers lets them be matched both to simple advertising campaigns and to more presentable material.
In the online calculator you choose the format, paper, single- or double-sided printing and the finish yourself. The price updates immediately, so there is no need to send a separate request for a quote.
Formats - match them to the content and the way they are handed out
Eight formats are available:
- A6 105×148 mm - a small, handy format that works well for handing out by hand, putting into parcels and larger promotional campaigns.
- A5 148×210 mm - the classic advertising leaflet format. It gives more room for text, photographs and a description of the offer while staying convenient to hand out.
- A4 210×297 mm - suitable for a fuller offer, a price list, a table, larger photographs or information material.
- A3 297×420 mm - a large format with plenty of surface for content. It can serve as a menu, a map or material with fuller information.
- DL 99×210 mm - a slim format that fits well into envelopes and stands. It suits promotional offers, invitations and company material.
- 150×150 mm - a small square that stands out among typical rectangular leaflets.
- 300×300 mm - a large square giving plenty of room for photographs, graphics and fuller content.
- 150×300 mm - a narrow, elongated format that allows a less standard layout.
Smaller variants such as A6 or DL are convenient on larger runs, for handing out and for display in stands. The A4, A3 and 300×300 mm formats give far more room for photographs, menus, maps and additional information.
Papers - from a light leaflet to a stiff card
We print leaflets on coated papers and DCP Satin. The options are:
- Coated 135 gsm - a light, economical paper for classic advertising leaflets, larger runs and material intended for wide distribution.
- Coated 170 gsm - a little stiffer than 135 gsm. It makes a more solid impression and works well for company, sales and information leaflets.
- Coated 250 gsm - a noticeably thicker paper that gives the material more of a card character. It suits offers, information cards, invitations and material meant to be kept longer.
- Coated 350 gsm - the thickest coated stock in this category. It works for vouchers, discount cards and material in a stiffer form.
- DCP Satin 300 gsm - a satin paper, pleasant to the touch, with an elegant finish. It suits image material, offers and more presentable projects.
Lighter papers are practical on larger runs and for mass distribution. Thicker ones make a leaflet start to resemble a stiff card, so they suit vouchers, promotional invitations, menu cards or material intended for longer use.
Printing - single- or double-sided?
We print leaflets in full colour, on one side or both.
- Single-sided printing works well for a short message: a promotion, a slogan, one specific piece of information or simple graphics.
- Double-sided printing lets you use the reverse as well. The first side can carry the main message and a photograph, and the second a description of the offer, contact details, a map, a QR code, the terms of a promotion or additional information.
With more content, double-sided printing often keeps the layout clearer than trying to fit everything on one side.
Finish - with or without film
Leaflets can be left without extra finishing or laminated.
The options are:
- No film - the classic, economical variant for standard advertising leaflets, larger runs and short promotional campaigns.
- Gloss film - strengthens colours and contrast. It goes well with photographs, intense backgrounds and advertising designs.
- Matt film - gives a calmer, elegant effect and limits reflections. It suits company material and more restrained designs.
- Soft Touch velvet film - creates a soft surface that is pleasant to the touch. It works for vouchers, company offers and more presentable material.
Lamination can be applied on one side or both.
With thicker papers, film can be a good addition, particularly if the leaflet is to serve as a menu card, a voucher, a discount card or material the customer will keep and pick up often.
File checking and graphic design
When placing an order you choose one of three ways of preparing the file:
- No checking - for agencies, designers and people confident about the technical preparation of their artwork. The file goes straight into production.
- File checking by a graphic designer - we check the technical preparation of the artwork: the format, bleed, safe distances from the trim line, the quality of graphics, CMYK colour and the way the file is saved. Checking is particularly worth choosing when the artwork was prepared in Canva, an online generator or with AI tools.
- Simple graphic design - if you have no finished file, send texts, a logo, photographs and contact details. We will prepare a simple, legible leaflet matched to the chosen format.
How to prepare the print file
It is best to send a PDF prepared in line with our specification. We also accept good quality JPG and PNG files.
Photographs and graphics should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the artwork should be prepared in CMYK.
Before sending the file, pay attention to a few basics:
- add bleed, that is extra background running beyond the trim line, if the graphics are to reach the edge,
- place texts, logos, QR codes, phone numbers, website addresses and other important information a safe distance from the trim line,
- check the quality of photographs and other graphics,
- convert texts to outlines or make sure fonts are correctly embedded in the file.
Before starting the design it is best to download the specification and the template for the chosen format. If you are not sure whether the artwork is technically correct, you can choose file checking by a graphic designer.
Leaflet variants
A classic leaflet is not the only solution available.
If you want a natural paper look, see eco leaflets. For more presentable designs you can choose Prestige leaflets on decorative papers. And when you need more room for content but want to keep a handy format once folded, folded leaflets are a good solution.
Set the format, paper, printing and finish in the online calculator and you will see the current price of your configuration straight away.
Classic flyers - questions and answers
Need help? Contact us
Which format is best for handing out in the street?
A6, DL and A5 are chosen most often. A6 is small and economical, so it works well on large runs. DL has slim proportions and suits promotional offers or invitations. A5 gives more room for text and photographs when the message is a little fuller.
What leaflet formats are available?
Eight formats are available: A6 105×148 mm, A5 148×210 mm, A4 210×297 mm, A3 297×420 mm, DL 99×210 mm, 150×150 mm, 150×300 mm and 300×300 mm. You set all the variants in the online calculator.
Which paper should I choose for a standard advertising leaflet?
Coated 135 or 170 gsm is chosen most often. Coated 135 gsm is the economical variant for larger runs and wide distribution. Coated 170 gsm is a little stiffer, so it suits company and information leaflets.
Which paper should I choose for a more elegant leaflet?
You can choose Coated 250 gsm, Coated 350 gsm or DCP Satin 300 gsm. They are thicker and stiffer than classic leaflet papers, so they work for vouchers, invitations, offers and image material. They can also be laminated.
Which weight should I choose for a menu card?
For a menu card it is better to choose a thicker paper, such as Coated 250 gsm, Coated 350 gsm or DCP Satin 300 gsm. If you want a clearly stiff card, you can reach for 350 gsm or DCP Satin 300 gsm. With frequent use, lamination is also worth considering.
Can I order double-sided printing?
Yes. We print leaflets on one side or both. Single-sided printing works well for short messages, while the second side can be used for photographs, a map, a QR code, a price list, the terms of a promotion or additional contact details.
What is the difference between gloss and matt film?
Gloss film emphasises colours and contrast more strongly, so it suits photographs and intense promotional designs. Matt film gives a more restrained look and limits reflections, which is why it is often chosen for company material.
When should I choose Soft Touch film?
When you want a soft, velvety surface and a more presentable finish. Soft Touch suits vouchers, invitations, company offers and image material, particularly printed on thicker papers.
Is it worth laminating a leaflet?
Lamination makes sense particularly when a leaflet will be handled often, kept longer, or serve as a menu card, a voucher or a discount card. Film protects the surface and changes its look and the way it feels in the hand.
Can I order leaflets without film?
Yes. A variant without finishing is available. It works well for classic advertising leaflets, larger runs, short-term campaigns and material intended for wide distribution.
What does file checking by a graphic designer cover?
The check covers the technical preparation of the artwork for print: the format, bleed, safe distances from the trim line, the quality of graphics, CMYK colour and the way the file is saved. It is particularly useful for artwork prepared in Canva, online generators or AI tools.
Can I send artwork prepared in Canva?
Yes. It is best sent as a print PDF. With Canva artwork it is worth choosing checking by a graphic designer, because such files may need corrections to the format, bleed, safe margins, photo quality or colour.
Do I have to have finished artwork?
No. You can send your own finished file, order a check by a graphic designer, or ask us to prepare a simple design. In the last case you only need to send texts, a logo, photographs, contact details and short guidance on the look you expect.
What format is best for sending the print file?
Best as a PDF prepared in line with the technical specification for the chosen format. We also accept good quality JPG or PNG files. Photographs and graphics should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the artwork should be prepared in CMYK.
Does the artwork need bleed?
Yes, if graphics or the background run to the edge. Bleed is an extra part of the design beyond the trim line that avoids white edges after cutting. Texts, logos, QR codes and contact details should sit a safe distance from the trim.
