Prestige hang tags - Prestige swing tags are die-cut tags and labels made on premium decorative papers: pearlescent, metallic, felt-marked, ribbed and linen-textured. They suit jewellery, luxury brands, elegant handmade goods and gift products. You can choose from 21 shapes and single or double-sided printing. You can price the version and run you want straight away in the online calculator.

What Prestige swing tags are

Prestige swing tags are elegant hanging tags and product labels printed on decorative papers with a distinct character. We use the same family of die-cut shapes as for the classic tags, but here much of the final effect comes from the stock itself: its colour, texture, sheen and surface.

The tag still does its practical job. It can carry a logo, the product name, the price, the composition, a QR code or any other information needed. At the same time it becomes part of how the product is presented. Pearlescent, metallic, felt-marked or linen-textured paper draws the eye before the customer starts reading what is printed on it.

Tags like these can be used on clothing, jewellery, cosmetics, candles, gifts and products sold online.

Die-cutting and shapes

Prestige tags are die-cut, that is cut out with the right cutting die. That allows various shapes, rounded corners, holes for a cord or ribbon, and the slits needed for particular uses.

The type and position of the holes and slits depend on the pattern chosen, so the design should be prepared on the right template or cutting die.

There are 21 patterns to choose from, the same as in the classic version. They fall into a few basic groups:

  • small and round (A01, A02, A03, B13) - compact formats and circular versions, suited to small products, jewellery, candles and cosmetics, where the tag should stay a subtle addition,
  • product tags, series B (B01-B14) - rectangular formats roughly from 50×85 to 70×105 mm. They give more room for a description, price, logo or QR code and work well on clothing, accessories and handmade products,
  • jewellery (B15) - a narrow, elongated format for presenting jewellery, with room for the collection name, the hallmark or the price,
  • for earrings (B16, B17) - versions designed for hanging and displaying earrings,
  • heart (B18) - a decorative shape that suits gift, wedding and occasional products.

You will find the full list of formats with dimensions in the online calculator.

Premium uses

Prestige tags are meant for products where it is not only the information that matters but also the way it is presented. They are most often used on:

  • jewellery and jewellers' goods - the jewellery tags and earring versions go well with delicate products, especially on pearlescent and metallic papers,
  • premium and luxury brands - on clothing, cosmetics, perfumes, ceramics, boutique products and limited collections,
  • premium handmade goods - on handmade, own-design and local products in a more elegant setting,
  • gifts and occasional products - as a gift note, a small certificate or a marking for a particular collection.

The tag can be a classic hanging label with a logo and price, a small product card, or the place for a QR code leading to a shop or catalogue. In online sales it can also become an attractive addition to the parcel.

Families of decorative paper

The most important element of a Prestige tag is the paper. There are 17 decorative papers to choose from. Below are their main families; the full list of versions, shades and weights is in the calculator.

  • ICEBLINK cream linen 250 gsm - a paper with a linen-like structure and a warm cream shade. It suits wedding and gift tags and handmade products.
  • STARDREAM 285 gsm, pearlescent and metallic - a family of papers with a distinctive sheen. OPAL gives a subtle pearl effect, SILVER and CRYSTAL look cooler and more modern, and STARDREAM GOLD brings a more ceremonial character. They work well on gift and jewellery tags.
  • RIVES Shetland Natural 250 gsm and 350 gsm - papers with a natural, decorative structure. The 250 gsm version is lighter, while 350 gsm is noticeably stiffer. They suit elegant and clothing tags and premium handmade products.
  • DALI 285 gsm, fine ribs - a paper with a delicate ribbed texture. The perla, candido (white), camoscio (light corn) and Ghaccio (light grey) versions go well with elegant product designs. Verde pino (green) has a bolder, botanical character.
  • MODIGLIANI 260 gsm, felt-marked - papers with a distinctive felt-marked surface, available in candido, camoscio, perla and bianco. They work on premium, clothing and jewellery tags.
  • CHAGALL Bianco felt-marked 260 gsm - a light paper with a felt-marked surface, suited to classic, company and jewellery tags.

Printing Prestige tags

Prestige tags can be ordered printed on one side or on both.

  • Single-sided - full colour on one side. It works when all the information needed fits on one surface.
  • Double-sided - full colour on both sides. The front can carry the logo, artwork and collection name, and the back the price, composition, size, codes or care instructions.

Bear in mind that on decorative papers the print can look different than on white coated stock. A pearlescent or metallic surface, a felt-marked structure or ribs all affect how the colours and fine details are perceived. That is why legible designs with the right contrast work best.

A premium effect without film

We do not cover Prestige tags with film or any other extra finish. That is a deliberate choice, because the effect of this version of the product comes above all from the paper itself: its texture, its pearl or metallic sheen, its felt-marked surface or its linen structure.

Decorative papers look their best when the surface stays visible and can be felt. Film could hide some of those qualities, flatten the structure or change the character of the sheen. So on Prestige tags the effect is built by the stock, well chosen typography and the composition of the design.

How to choose the paper

It is best to match the paper to the character of the brand and the product.

Elegant, classic and company designs suit the light versions, such as STARDREAM OPAL and CRYSTAL, RIVES Shetland Natural, DALI candido, MODIGLIANI candido and CHAGALL Bianco.

On gift and jewellery products the metallic papers look good, including STARDREAM GOLD and SILVER.

If the design is to be more artistic, boutique or built on a pronounced paper structure, you can reach for ICEBLINK cream linen, DALI perla, DALI verde pino or MODIGLIANI camoscio.

On the darker and metallic papers the right contrast and letter size matter especially.

What to put on the tag

A Prestige tag can carry the logo, the company and product name, the collection name, the price, size, composition, care instructions, the product code, a barcode, a QR code, the website address, social media, a version marking, a "handmade" or "premium" note and a short thank-you to the customer.

A well designed tag separates the image side from the practical one. The logo and brand name can be a strong element of the design, while the technical details have above all to stay legible and be a suitable size.

On the smallest formats it is better to limit the amount of information. If there is more content, a larger series B format or double-sided printing will be more practical.

File preparation - the die, the holes and the check

The design is best prepared as a PDF that follows our specification. JPG or PNG files are also accepted. Photographs should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the design prepared in CMYK.

If the artwork runs to the edge, add bleed. Text, logos and other important elements should be moved away from the edges, the holes, the slits and the lines of the die. On jewellery tags and the earring versions you also have to allow for the places meant for the slits and for displaying the product.

When you place the order you choose one of the file preparation options:

  • No file check - for agencies, designers and anyone confident the design is technically correct. The file goes into production without further control.
  • File check by a designer - we check the technical preparation of the file, including the format, bleed, image quality and colours, and the things specific to tags: the shape, the die, the cutting lines, the holes, the slits and the contrast on the decorative paper chosen. The check does not cover the content, such as prices, compositions, codes or dates. The customer is responsible for their accuracy. We particularly recommend this option for designs made in Canva, online generators and AI tools, which may need adjusting to the die, the bleed and CMYK.
  • Simple graphic design - if you have no file ready, send us your logo, the text and the product details. We will prepare a simple design matched to the shape, Prestige paper and printing you chose.

FAQ

Prestige hang tags - questions and answers

Need help? Contact us

How do Prestige tags differ from classic ones?

The shapes and formats are the same. The main difference is the paper. We print Prestige tags on premium decorative papers with pearlescent, metallic, felt-marked, ribbed and linen-textured surfaces. Their colour, texture and sheen are an important part of how the finished tag looks.

Are the Prestige tag formats the same as in the standard version?

Yes. The same 21 die-cut patterns are available, including the rectangular series B tags, small, round and jewellery tags, the earring versions and the heart-shaped tag. You will find the full list with dimensions in the online calculator.

Which decorative papers are available?

There are 17 papers belonging to several families: ICEBLINK with its cream linen structure, STARDREAM in pearlescent and metallic versions including OPAL, SILVER, CRYSTAL and GOLD, RIVES Shetland Natural, DALI with its fine ribs, MODIGLIANI with its felt-marked surface, and CHAGALL Bianco. The calculator shows all the shades and weights available.

Are Prestige tags laminated?

No. We do not laminate Prestige tags. The effect comes above all from the decorative paper itself: its texture, its pearl or metallic sheen, its felt-marked surface or its ribs. Film could make those qualities less visible and harder to feel, so we deliberately leave it off.

Which paper should I choose for elegant, classic tags?

Light papers suit designs like that, including STARDREAM OPAL, STARDREAM CRYSTAL, RIVES Shetland Natural, DALI candido, MODIGLIANI candido, MODIGLIANI bianco and CHAGALL Bianco.

Which paper should I choose for premium and gift tags?

On premium, gift, festive and jewellery designs the metallic papers look good, such as STARDREAM GOLD, STARDREAM SILVER and STARDREAM CRYSTAL. They give the tag a more ceremonial, distinguished character.

Do the colour and texture of the paper affect the print?

Yes. A decorative stock affects how the colours look, the contrast and the legibility of fine details. On metallic, pearlescent, felt-marked or ribbed papers the print looks different than on plain white coated stock. Good contrast and legible typography matter especially on designs like these.

Can Prestige tags be printed on both sides?

Yes. Single-sided and double-sided printing are both available. With both sides printed, the front can be designed around the image, with the logo and artwork, and the back used for the price, composition, size, a QR code, a barcode, instructions or contact details.

Are Prestige tags suitable for jewellery?

Yes. The shapes available include jewellery tags and earring tags. In the Prestige version, especially on pearlescent and metallic papers, they go well with jewellery, own-design collections and gift and premium products.

Do Prestige tags work on clothing?

Yes. Decorative papers suit fashion brands, boutiques, designers, premium clothing, showrooms, online shops and limited collections. The tag can carry the logo, size, price, composition and care information.

Can a QR code or barcode go on a Prestige tag?

Yes. Both kinds of code can be printed. A QR code can lead to a shop, instructions or social media. You have to take care over the size and contrast so that the code can be read without trouble, especially on decorative papers.

Is a cutting die needed for Prestige tags?

With tags of a particular shape it is best to work on the right template or cutting die. The design should allow for the cutting lines, the holes, the slits and the rounded corners, and keep important elements a safe distance from the edge. The type of holes and slits depends on the pattern chosen.

Can I prepare the design in Canva?

Yes, but with a file like that the technical check by a designer is particularly worth choosing. Designs prepared in Canva, online generators, office programs or AI tools can look correct on screen and still need adjusting to the die, the bleed, CMYK, the right resolution or the contrast on the decorative paper chosen.

Does the file check cover the content, prices and codes?

No. The designer checks the technical preparation of the design for print. They do not check prices, compositions, instructions, QR codes and barcodes, product numbers, typos or whether the content complies with regulations. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of that information.

I have no design ready - will you prepare the tag for me?

Yes. You can choose the simple graphic design option. Send us your logo, the text, the product details, the sizes and your guidelines on colour, and we will prepare a simple design matched to the shape, Prestige paper and printing you chose.
