VENO RUBBER metal pens - product details
VENO RUBBER metal pens - A metal pen with rubberised studs on the lower part of the barrel, so it sits more securely in the hand and slips less while writing. The model measures 139×10 mm, has a single ring near the lower part of the barrel and an engraving field of 60.0×6.0 mm. Marked with YAG laser engraving.
VENO RUBBER - a metal barrel with a rubberised grip
The word RUBBER in the name describes the model's main feature. The lower part of the metal barrel carries small rubberised studs that improve grip. Your fingers have something to hold on to, so the pen turns less in the hand and does not slip as easily during fast note-taking, or when your hands are cold.
Rubberised finishes appear on our newer models as well - the COSMO Soft Rubber, ZOE Soft Rubber and Touch Pen GIO SOFT Rubber - but they solve it differently. The VENO RUBBER has individual round studs rather than a uniform rubber coating over the whole surface.
The pen measures 139×10 mm, with a single ring near the lower part of the barrel. The engraving field is 60.0×6.0 mm.
Where the VENO RUBBER works
- Everyday writing - the grip tells most for people who write a lot by hand.
- Conferences and training - handed out with the materials and usually kept afterwards.
- Reception and service desks - a branded pen that is comfortable to sign with.
- Field staff - a firmer grip helps when notes are taken standing up or in the cold.
- Welcome sets - a metal pen with a rubberised grip feels more considered than a plain plastic giveaway.
YAG laser engraving
We mark metal pens with precise YAG laser engraving. The laser removes the top layer of the barrel surface and exposes the lighter metal beneath. Nothing is applied on top, so there is no ink to peel or rub away - the mark is part of the barrel and lasts as long as the pen.
Engraving is single-colour: the laser exposes metal rather than printing colour, so a multi-colour logo appears in one tone. On darker barrels the contrast is stronger; on light and silver ones the effect is more subtle.
One side or two
In the calculator, under "Marking", choose "One-sided engraving" or "Two-sided engraving". One side is usually enough for a logo with a company name or a web address. Two-sided engraving helps when you want to keep a logo and contact details apart - each then gets its own 60.0×6.0 mm field. The two-sided version costs more; the difference shows in the calculator.
The engraving file and free design work
Send finished artwork as a vector PDF in black only. Everything black will be engraved; the rest stays untouched. Convert text to curves so the typeface does not change when the file is opened, and avoid photographs and greyscale - engraving does not reproduce halftones.
No artwork ready? With an order placed with us we prepare it free of charge. E-mail your logo, preferably in vector form, along with the text for the pen. Our designer will send a proof for approval, and production starts once you accept it.

VENO RUBBER metal pens - questions and answers
Need help? Contact us
What does RUBBER in the name mean?
It describes the grip. The lower part of the metal barrel carries small rubberised studs, so your fingers have something to hold on to and the pen slips less while writing.
What are the dimensions of the VENO RUBBER?
139×10 mm - a full-size pen with a classic barrel diameter.
How large is the engraving field?
60.0×6.0 mm. With a well-arranged design it takes a company name with a symbol beside it, or a web address. For both a logo and contact details, two-sided engraving gives each its own field.
How do I recognise this model among the others?
By the rubberised studs on the lower part of the barrel and the single ring near them. Other models have different details: the TESS has a double ring in the middle, the BOND four rings lower down.
How does the VENO RUBBER differ from the COSMO and MOOI?
Mainly in the grip and the size of the engraving field. The COSMO and MOOI have smooth barrels, with fields of 65.0×6.0 mm and 75.0×6.0 mm respectively; the VENO RUBBER has rubberised studs and a 60.0×6.0 mm field. If a firm grip matters more than the largest possible marking area, this is the model.
Does this model have a touchscreen tip?
No. If you need one, look at our Touch Pen models, which are fitted with a tip for touchscreens.
Can the refill be replaced?
Yes. The refill is replaceable and in a standard size, so when the ink runs out you change the refill rather than discarding the metal barrel.
Can I order a refill in a colour other than blue?
Blue is standard. Black can be fitted for an additional charge, but that option is not in the calculator. Mention it when placing the order and we will confirm the details.
What marking method do you use, and will the engraving wear off?
Precise YAG laser engraving. The laser removes the top layer of the surface and exposes the metal beneath, so the mark becomes part of the barrel. There is no ink to peel and everyday carrying will not rub it away.
Will the engraving reproduce the colours of my logo?
No. The laser applies no ink - it exposes metal - so the mark is always single-colour, however many colours the original logo uses.
Which barrel colour suits engraving best?
Darker barrels give the strongest contrast, because the light trace of exposed metal stands out clearly. On light and silver barrels the engraving is quieter and more subtle.
What file should I prepare for engraving?
A vector PDF in black only, with text converted to curves. Everything black will be engraved. Avoid photographs and greyscale - halftones cannot be reproduced.
I have no vector logo - what then?
With an order placed with us we prepare simple artwork free of charge. E-mail your logo and the text for the pen; our designer will lay it out and send a proof for approval. Only redrawing a logo that exists purely as a photograph is a paid service, quoted individually.
One-sided or two-sided engraving - how do I choose?
One side is usually enough for a logo with a company name or a web address. Two sides help when you want to keep a logo and contact details apart - each then gets its own field. The two-sided version costs more; the difference shows in the calculator as soon as you switch the option.
What is the minimum order, and why does the calculator change the number I enter?
The minimum is 100 pieces, with further steps at 200, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000. Pens are produced in multiples of 50, so any other figure is rounded up - 220 becomes 250.
My logo only exists as a JPG or PNG. Can it be engraved?
Engraving needs vector artwork, so such a logo has to be redrawn first. We offer that as a paid service, quoted individually according to how complex the mark is. Afterwards you get the logo in vector formats, usable on other materials too. Laying out the logo and text on the pen remains free of charge.
My logo is vertical, with the name under the symbol. How will it come out?
The field is 6 mm high, so stacked elements become small once scaled down and fine text suffers first. A horizontal logo makes better use of the space. If your brand book has one, send that version; if not, our designer can arrange the same elements horizontally or suggest what to leave out. You will see a proof before production either way.
