Eco thank-you vouchers - EKO vouchers and thank-you cards are elegant cards printed on papers with a natural look and a distinctive texture. Kraft stocks, Kazan ecru with grass fibre and the decorative Flora papers are available. They work as gift certificates, discount coupons, invitations, thank-yous for parcels or packaging inserts. You choose the format, the paper and single or double-sided printing in the online calculator, which shows the price straight away.

What EKO vouchers and thank-you cards are

EKO vouchers and thank-you cards differ from classic ones above all in the paper. Instead of smooth white coated stock you get a paper with a shade, texture and surface of its own.

Brown Kraftliner, warm Kazan with its visible grass fibre or the decorative Flora papers give even a simple design a more natural, individual character.

Cards like these suit online shops, handmade brands, makers of natural cosmetics, florists, cafés, restaurants, hotels, boutiques, wedding brands and local businesses. They work wherever the presentation of company materials should go with a more natural or craft-like style.

In the calculator you choose the format, the particular paper and the printing. You see the versions available and the current price straight away.

Available formats

There are four formats, which you can match to the kind of card and the amount of content.

  • A6 105×148 mm - the versatile format for a voucher, a gift card, an invitation, a discount card or a thank-you for a parcel. It gives room for a logo, artwork, text, a QR code, a voucher number or the terms of a promotion.
  • DL 99×210 mm - an elongated, elegant format that suits gift certificates, vouchers, service cards and invitations. It fits DL envelopes comfortably.
  • 100×100 mm - a small square card suited to a thank-you for a parcel, a note with an order, a discount coupon or a small product insert. It works well with handmade products, cosmetics, candles and jewellery.
  • 150×150 mm - a larger square with more surface for artwork and content. It can serve as a voucher, a thank-you, an invitation or an occasional card, especially on natural, minimalist, wedding and boutique designs.

When choosing the format it helps to consider not only the amount of information but also how the card will be handed over. One size suits a small note in a parcel, another a voucher presented in an envelope.

EKO papers and their character

We print EKO vouchers and thank-you cards on eight papers. Each has its own colour and surface, so the choice of stock has a great deal of influence on how the finished card looks.

Kraftliner 300 gsm

Kraftliner 300 gsm has a distinct brown colour and a typically kraft character. It is stiff and solid, so it works well on vouchers, gift cards and thank-yous for local, craft and handmade brands.

The brown stock has a strong effect on the print, so designs with clear contrast, dark typography and simple artwork look best on it.

Kazan ecru 250 gsm with grass fibre

A warm ecru paper with visible flecks of grass. It has a natural look but stays stiff enough to use for vouchers, thank-yous and packaging inserts.

It suits designs connected with natural cosmetics, handmade goods, regional products and brands with a calm, natural style.

Kazan ecru 300 gsm with grass fibre

It has a similar character to the 250 gsm version but is stiffer and more solid.

It works especially well on gift certificates, vouchers and cards the customer is meant to keep for longer.

Flora Avorio 240 gsm

A light, delicate paper with an elegant character. It goes well with thank-yous, product cards and material for the beauty, wedding and hotel trades.

Flora Giglio 240 gsm

A paper with a natural, decorative look. It suits warm, decorative designs, vouchers, packaging inserts and thank-yous.

Flora Tabacco 240 gsm

A darker, bolder paper. It suits natural, kraft and visually more decisive designs.

Because of the colour of the stock, contrast and the legibility of the design matter especially here.

Flora Giglio 350 gsm and Flora Tabacco 350 gsm

These are the thickest stocks in this category. They are stiff and solid, so they work well on vouchers, gift certificates and cards meant to be more distinguished and durable.

A natural effect instead of film

We do not laminate EKO vouchers and thank-you cards.

That is deliberate, because the greatest strength of these papers is their natural surface, colour and texture and the way they feel in the hand. Film would change the character of the stock and cover part of those qualities.

If you want a stiffer, more distinguished card, choose a heavier weight instead of lamination, for instance Kraftliner 300 gsm, Kazan 300 gsm, Flora Giglio 350 gsm or Flora Tabacco 350 gsm.

Remember too that the colour of the paper affects the look of the print. Colours on a natural stock can be warmer and less saturated than on white coated paper. Light and pastel elements often change the most.

That is why legible typography, the right contrast and artwork prepared with the particular shade of paper in mind work best on EKO papers.

Single or double-sided printing

EKO vouchers and thank-you cards can be ordered printed on one side or on both.

Single-sided printing works well on simple thank-yous, small discount cards, notes slipped into parcels and minimalist designs where the paper itself plays a large part.

Double-sided printing gives more room. The front can carry the logo, the main artwork and a short message, and the back a discount code, the terms for using the voucher, contact details, social media or a QR code.

What you can use EKO vouchers and thank-you cards for

Natural papers suit both gift uses and material added to products.

You can use them as:

  • gift cards and gift certificates,
  • discount coupons,
  • loyalty cards,
  • cards for VIP customers,
  • invitations and occasional cards,
  • thank-yous for parcels,
  • notes with orders,
  • packaging inserts,
  • product cards,
  • additions to gift sets.

They work especially well in online sales. A small thank-you card can carry a message for the customer, a discount code for the next order, a request for a review, a website address, social media or a QR code.

If you need a more classic, smooth stock, take a look at the standard vouchers and thank-you cards. And if you want papers with a more decorative structure or sheen, see the Prestige version.

How to prepare the file for print

A PDF prepared to our specification is best. In selected cases we also accept good quality JPG or PNG files.

The design should be prepared in CMYK, and photographs and artwork should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale.

If a background or artwork runs to the edge, add the right amount of bleed. Move text, logos, QR codes, voucher numbers, discount codes and contact details away from the cutting line.

On natural papers, pay particular attention to small text and QR codes. They should be large enough and contrast well with the stock. It is also worth checking the QR code before sending the file, to be sure it leads to the right page.

File check and graphic design

When you place the order you choose one of three options:

  • No file check - for agencies, designers and anyone confident the design is technically correct. The file goes straight into production.
  • File check by a designer - we check the format, bleed, safe distances from the cutting line, image quality, colours and how the file was saved. On EKO papers we also look at the contrast and the legibility of the design on the colour of stock chosen. It is a good choice especially if the design was prepared in Canva, an online generator or with AI tools.
  • Simple graphic design - if you have no file ready, send us the text, your logo, photographs, contact details, a discount code, the voucher number and your basic guidelines. We will prepare a simple design matched to the format and paper you chose.

The technical check does not cover the content. We do not check typos, prices, voucher numbers, discount codes, expiry dates or terms. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of that information.

So before sending the design, it is worth going through all the text, codes, numbers and dates once more.

What are EKO vouchers and thank-you cards?

They are cards printed on papers with a natural, distinctive look. They can serve as gift certificates, discount cards, thank-yous for parcels, packaging inserts, invitations or product cards.

How do EKO vouchers differ from standard ones?

Standard vouchers are usually printed on smooth coated papers, while the EKO version is made on natural Kraftliner, Kazan with grass fibre and Flora papers. They differ in colour, texture and the way the paper feels in the hand.

Which EKO voucher and thank-you card formats are available?

There are four formats: A6 105×148 mm, DL 99×210 mm, 100×100 mm and 150×150 mm. A6 is versatile, DL has a slim format and suits envelopes, 100×100 mm works well as a small card for a parcel, and 150×150 mm gives more room for a decorative design.

Which EKO voucher format should I choose?

For classic vouchers, DL and A6 work well. DL is elongated and fits an envelope comfortably, while A6 gives more freedom in laying out the content. The 150×150 mm format suits more decorative designs, and 100×100 mm small thank-yous and notes.

Which EKO papers are available?

There are eight papers: Kraftliner 300 gsm, Kazan ecru 250 gsm with grass fibre, Kazan ecru 300 gsm with grass fibre, Flora Avorio 240 gsm, Flora Giglio 240 gsm, Flora Tabacco 240 gsm, Flora Giglio 350 gsm and Flora Tabacco 350 gsm.

Which EKO paper should I choose for a premium voucher?

For a more distinguished voucher, Kraftliner 300 gsm, Kazan 300 gsm, Flora Giglio 350 gsm or Flora Tabacco 350 gsm is worth choosing. These are stiffer stocks that suit gift certificates and cards the customer is meant to keep for longer.

Which EKO paper should I choose for thank-you cards in parcels?

Kazan 250 gsm, Flora Avorio 240 gsm, Flora Giglio 240 gsm, Flora Tabacco 240 gsm or Kraftliner 300 gsm all work well. The choice depends above all on the style of the brand and on whether the thank-you should be light, warm, darker or clearly kraft.

Can EKO vouchers and thank-you cards be laminated?

No. We do not use lamination in this category. The natural texture, colour and surface of the paper are an important part of the finished card. If you want a stiffer material, it is better to choose a paper in a heavier weight.

Can I order double-sided printing?

Yes. Single-sided and double-sided printing are both available. In the double-sided version you can put the main artwork and message on one side and the terms for using the voucher, a discount code, contact details or a QR code on the other.

Do colours on EKO papers look the same as on white coated stock?

No. The natural shade of the stock affects the look of the print, especially light and pastel colours. On EKO papers it is best to use legible typography, the right contrast and artwork prepared with the particular colour of paper in mind.

Can I put a QR code on the voucher?

Yes. A QR code can go on a voucher or a thank-you card. It should be a suitable size, have good contrast and sit a safe distance from the edge. Before sending the file, check that the code works and leads to the right place.

Can I put a voucher number or a discount code on it?

Yes. The design can carry a voucher number, a discount code, an expiry date, the terms of use or other information for the customer. Remember that the check by a designer does not cover whether numbers, codes, dates or terms are correct.

What does the file check by a designer cover?

We check the technical preparation of the design for print: the format, bleed, safe distances from the cutting line, image quality, colours and how the file was saved. On EKO papers we also look at the legibility and contrast of the design on the stock chosen. We do not check the content.

Can I send a design prepared in Canva?

Yes. It is best saved as a print-ready PDF. With files from Canva it is worth choosing the check by a designer, since there can be problems with the format, bleed, safe margins, image quality or the way the file is saved.

Which file preparation options are available?

There are three: No file check, meaning the finished file goes straight into production, File check by a designer, covering the technical preparation of the design and its legibility on EKO paper, and Simple graphic design, if you have no finished file of your own. The customer is always responsible for the accuracy of the content.
