Touch Pen BOND - product details
Touch Pen BOND - A metal pen, 135×7 mm, with a tip for operating touchscreens. Structurally very close to the classic BOND: the same slim aluminium barrel, the same four rings on the lower part, and the same 70.0×4.0 mm engraving field.
Touch Pen BOND - a slim barrel with a touchscreen tip
The Touch Pen BOND is the BOND with one thing added: a tip for operating touchscreens. Write on paper, turn the pen over, and use the same pen on a phone, tablet or payment terminal.
Everything else stays as it was - a slim aluminium barrel measuring 135×7 mm, the four rings on the lower part that identify the model, and an engraving field of 70.0×4.0 mm.
That field matters here. On a ø 7 mm barrel it is inherently shallow, so a logo and text usually run horizontally, on a single line. The Touch Pen BOND gives 70 mm of length - 5 mm more than the COSMO SLIM. On paper that sounds slight; with a long company name or an added web address, those few millimetres earn their place.
Where it works
- Field and mobile work - one pen for a signature on paper and for a screen.
- Conferences and training - handed out with the materials and usually kept afterwards.
- Retail and service points - useful wherever customers sign on a terminal.
- Companies with longer names - the longest engraving field of our slim models.
- Gifts for business contacts - a metal pen with an engraving, plus a function that gets used.
YAG laser engraving
We mark metal pens with precise YAG laser engraving. The laser removes the top layer of lacquer or anodising and exposes the lighter metal beneath. Nothing is applied on top, so there is no ink to peel or rub away - the mark is part of the barrel and lasts as long as the pen.
Engraving is single-colour: the laser exposes metal rather than printing colour, so a multi-colour logo appears in one tone. On darker barrels the contrast is stronger; on light and silver ones the effect is more subtle.
One side or two
In the calculator, under "Marking", choose "One-sided engraving" or "Two-sided engraving". One side usually covers a logo with the company name or a web address. Two sides help when you want to keep a logo and contact details apart - each then gets its own field. The two-sided version costs more; the difference shows in the calculator.
The engraving file and free design work
Send finished artwork as a vector PDF in black only, with text converted to curves. Everything black will be engraved. Avoid photographs and greyscale - engraving does not reproduce halftones.
No artwork ready? With an order placed with us we prepare it free of charge. E-mail your logo and the text for the pen; our designer will send a proof for approval, and production starts once you accept it.

Touch Pen BOND - questions and answers
Need help? Contact us
How does the Touch Pen BOND differ from the standard BOND?
Only in the touchscreen tip. The dimensions, the aluminium barrel, the four rings and the engraving field of 70.0×4.0 mm are identical. If you do not need the tip, the classic BOND is the simpler choice.
What exactly is known about the touchscreen tip?
It is used to operate touchscreens instead of a fingertip. If you need more detail before ordering - the material of the tip, or compatibility with a particular device - write to us and we will check with the supplier.
What are the dimensions of the Touch Pen BOND?
135×7 mm - a slim barrel, the same as the classic BOND.
Does the touchscreen tip take away engraving space?
No. The marking area is the full 70.0×4.0 mm, exactly the same as on the classic BOND - and the longest engraving field among our ø 7 mm pens.
Why does the length of the engraving field matter so much here?
On a ø 7 mm barrel the field is inherently shallow, so a logo and text usually run horizontally, on one line. The Touch Pen BOND gives 70 mm of length, 5 mm more than the COSMO SLIM. On paper that sounds slight, but with a long company name or an added web address those few millimetres are useful.
How do I recognise this model?
By the four rings on the lower part of the barrel and the touchscreen tip at the top. Otherwise it has the same plain, modern form as the classic BOND.
Is the refill replaceable?
Yes, and in a standard size, so when the ink runs out you change the refill rather than discarding the pen.
Can the refill be a colour other than blue?
Blue is standard. Black or red can be fitted for an additional charge, but that option is not in the calculator. Mention it when placing the order and we will confirm the details.
What marking method do you use on this pen?
Precise YAG laser engraving. The laser removes the top layer of lacquer or anodising and exposes the lighter metal beneath, so the mark is made in the barrel itself rather than applied to it.
Can the engraving be multi-colour?
No. The laser applies no ink - it exposes metal - so the mark is always single-colour, however many colours the original logo uses.
Which barrel colour suits engraving best?
Darker barrels give the strongest contrast, because the light trace of exposed metal stands out clearly. On light and silver barrels the engraving is quieter and more subtle.
Will the engraving be damaged by everyday use?
No. It is not a print or an added layer: the laser removes part of the coating and exposes the metal, so the mark becomes part of the barrel. Water will not wash it off and carrying the pen will not wear it away.
When is two-sided engraving worth it?
When you want to keep two pieces of information apart - a logo on one side, a web address, phone number or slogan on the other - instead of crowding them into one field. The two-sided version costs more; the difference shows in the calculator as soon as you switch the option.
How should the file be prepared, and what if I do not have one?
Send a vector PDF in black only, with text converted to curves; everything black will be engraved. If you have no artwork, we prepare it free of charge with an order placed with us - e-mail your logo and the text for the pen, and our designer will send a proof for approval.
What is the minimum order, and why does the calculator raise my quantity?
The minimum is 100 pieces, with further steps at 200, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000. Pens are produced in multiples of 50, so any other figure is rounded up to the nearest full multiple.
My logo only exists as a JPG or PNG. Can it be engraved?
Engraving needs vector artwork, so such a logo has to be redrawn first. We offer that as a paid service, quoted individually according to how complex the mark is. Afterwards you get the logo in vector formats, usable on other materials too. Laying out the logo and text on the pen remains free of charge.
My logo is vertical, with the name under the symbol. How will it come out?
The field is long but shallow, so stacked elements become very small once scaled down and fine text suffers first. A horizontal logo makes far better use of the space. If your brand book has one, send that version; if not, our designer can arrange the same elements horizontally or suggest what to leave out. You will see a proof before production either way.
