Pendrive UME - a classic drive for everyday use

The UME does not try to stand out through an unusual material or a complicated build. It is a solid plastic-cased drive that adapts easily to different company uses.

Its distinctive feature is the cap, with a raised pattern of nine squares in a 3×3 grid. That surface gives your fingers something to grip when pulling the cap off, and makes the drive easy to recognise at a glance.

The body stays smooth, so the printing has an even surface to work with - equally good for a small logo or for richer, colourful artwork.

Two interfaces are available: USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 gen.1. If the drive will mainly hold documents and presentations, USB 2.0 may be entirely sufficient. For larger files, video or photo libraries, the USB 3.2 gen.1 version is more comfortable.

UV printing - full colour on the casing

We mark the UME with full-colour digital UV printing in CMYK.

The technology reproduces:

• multi-colour logos,
• gradients,
• tonal transitions,
• fine graphic elements,
• photographs, where the source material is good enough.

The ink is cured with UV light during printing, so the finished mark handles normal use and contact with moisture and light.

Depending on the configuration, marking can be done on one side or on both.

On a casing this small, keep legibility in mind: a few well-chosen elements usually look better than trying to fit a full company footer onto a few centimetres.

USB 2.0 or USB 3.2 gen.1?

USB 2.0 works well for documents, PDF files, presentations and other material that is not especially large. On bigger runs it can also be the more economical choice.

USB 3.2 gen.1 runs on a bus supporting up to 5 Gb/s, so copying larger files can be considerably faster. Worth taking for video, large catalogues, photo folders, or when the contents will be updated often.

Actual read and write speeds depend on the capacity, the memory used and the device the drive is connected to.

• 64 GB - more extensive material sets,
• 128 GB - larger archives and file libraries,
• 256 GB - large data sets and multimedia archives.

For a typical conference or marketing pack, 8-32 GB is usually enough. The larger versions make sense when the drive will later be used for the recipient's own data as well.

Packaging

The UME can also be supplied in additional packaging. Depending on how it will be used, we can select a case, a printed box, or prepare the drive as part of a larger company set. These options are agreed individually with the order.

No print artwork ready? With an order placed with us we prepare a simple design free of charge.

Send your logo, preferably in vector form, along with any text that is to appear on the drive. We will lay it out and send a proof for approval.

The first version usually comes within 1-2 working days; each further round of changes adds one working day. Production starts only once the design is approved.
