Pendrive UME Care - hygiene built into the material

What sets the UME Care apart is the casing material. The plastic contains silver ions, which limit the growth of bacteria and other micro-organisms on the surface of the drive.

That matters most where small objects pass from hand to hand: a clinic reception, a trade stand, a hotel desk or a customer service point.

The silver ions are introduced into the structure of the plastic, not applied as an outer coating. The properties therefore do not depend on a thin layer that can simply be rubbed away in use.

The UME Care uses USB 3.2 gen.1, on a bus supporting up to 5 Gb/s - a clear advantage over USB 2.0 with larger files. Actual read and write speeds depend on the memory used and on the device the drive is connected to.

Light mint casing

The UME Care comes in one colour: light mint. It is the model's signature, and what visually separates it from the standard UME.

When designing the print, remember the surface is not white. The colour of the casing can affect how light elements of the artwork read, so with more demanding logotypes it is worth checking the effect on a proof.

We send the design for approval before production, so both its position and its legibility against the real casing colour can be judged.

How the antibacterial plastic works

The silver ions sit within the structure of the material, not merely on its surface. Their job is to limit the multiplication of bacteria and other micro-organisms on the casing. Because the antibacterial component is part of the plastic, it is not a coating that ordinary use can wear off.

That does not, of course, mean the drive replaces normal hygiene or disinfection. It is simply made from a material that additionally limits microbial growth on its surface.

UV printing - full colour on the casing

We mark the UME Care with full-colour UV printing in CMYK, so your brand colours, gradients, tonal transitions and richer graphics all survive.

The ink is applied directly to the casing and cured with UV light during printing. The finished marking handles normal everyday use and contact with moisture and light.

On a light mint surface, contrast deserves particular attention. A darker logo will usually be very legible; lighter elements are worth checking on the proof first.

For standard presentations or information material, 16 or 32 GB is usually enough. If the drive will later hold documentation, film or large collections of data, consider 128 or 256 GB.

Packaging

Packaging can be added to the UME Care. If you want to cut down on plastic, you can choose versions made from recycled cardboard instead of the standard plastic packaging.

It is best to mention this when placing the order, so the packaging can be matched to the whole set.

No print artwork ready? With an order placed with us we prepare a simple design free of charge.

Send your logo, preferably in vector form, along with any text that is to appear on the drive. We will lay it out and send it for approval.

The first version usually comes within 1-2 working days; each further round of changes adds one working day. Production starts only once the proof is approved.
