Round stickers

A round sticker is a small addition, but it can do a great deal. It can be a seal on a jar lid, a quality mark on packaging, a label with a logo on an envelope, or a simple "thank you for your order" tucked into a parcel. Along the way it tells the customer who made the product, what is inside or where to find more information.

We make the stickers as kiss-cut items on sheets. Each already has its circular shape, so you just peel it off the backing and stick it on the product, box, envelope, paper bag, jar, bottle or parcel. There is nothing to cut out yourself, which makes marking products and packaging by hand far easier.

What you can use round stickers for

The round shape is simple, decorative and goes well with many kinds of packaging. A sticker can go in the middle of a lid, on the front of a box, on the flap of an envelope, or work as a small seal joining two parts of the packaging.

Round stickers work as:

• Product and company labels - with the company logo, the product name or a marking for the packaging, on boxes, envelopes, paper bags, jars, bottles, candles, cosmetics, preserves, honey, coffee or tea.
• Seals and quality marks - as a small sticker closing the packaging, or a marking for quality, the version, the flavour, the scent or the colour of the product.
• Promotions and messages - with information about a discount or promotion, a QR code, a website address, social media or a short "thank you for your order".
• Handmade goods and natural brands - on handmade products, candles, cosmetics, ceramics, gifts and gift sets, and as "handmade" or "eco" markings.
• Organising the office and the warehouse - for marking folders, shelves, boxes, documents, samples and internal materials.

Online shops use round stickers to mark parcels and envelopes. In restaurants, cafés and catering companies they go on takeaway packaging, jars, paper bags and date labels. For local producers and handmade brands they can be a simple piece of visual identity placed straight onto the product or its packaging.

Which size to choose

The calculator offers diameters from ⌀25 mm up to ⌀160 mm:

25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, 150 and 160 mm.

With so many versions it is easy to match the sticker to a small product or to larger packaging.

• Small diameters (⌀25-⌀40 mm) - good for a small logo, seals, version markings, stickers on envelopes, small boxes, pouches, samples, mini products and promotional materials. On a surface like that simple designs work best, for instance a logo, an icon or a short line.
• Versatile diameters (⌀45-⌀70 mm) - a popular range for product labels and stickers on jars, boxes, bags, candles, cosmetics, food packaging and handmade products.
• Larger diameters (⌀75-⌀100 mm) - more room for the product name, artwork, the composition, a logo, a QR code or a short note. They look good on larger boxes, lids and packaging.
• The largest formats (⌀110-⌀160 mm) - for large product labels, information stickers, promotional markings and artwork placed on bigger boxes, bags, parcels or outer packaging.

When choosing the diameter, look above all at the surface the sticker will go on and how much content the design carries. The size of the logo, whether there is a QR code or barcode, and the distance from which the information has to stay legible all matter too. Which material to choose

There are three self-adhesive materials, differing in look and character:

• White self-adhesive paper - the versatile choice for most standard stickers and labels. The white stock reproduces colours well and gives a clear, classic effect. It works for stickers with a logo, product labels and markings for packaging, parcels, envelopes and promotional materials.
• White self-adhesive film - right when the sticker should be tougher and more durable than an ordinary paper label. It suits product, information, technical and practical stickers, especially ones that are handled often. Its smooth surface gives a modern, attractive look.
• Kraft self-adhesive paper - a natural brown material with a more eco and rustic character. It suits handmade goods, cafés, bakeries, eco shops, natural brands, handmade cosmetics, candles, jars, preserves and kraft packaging. Designs with strong contrast, darker printing, simple typography and sparing artwork look best on it.

If you have no particular requirements, white paper is the most versatile option. White film is worth choosing when durability and a smooth surface matter more. Kraft is a good direction for a brand with a natural, warm or rustic character.

Printing, kiss-cutting and finishing

We print the stickers on one side in full colour. You can put a logo, text, artwork, a QR code, a barcode, icons, a photograph of the product, an advertising line or the technical information you need on them.

The finished stickers come as kiss-cut items on sheets. Each already has its round shape, so it is easy to peel off and stick straight where you want it.

That is convenient for small and medium runs and for labelling handmade products, jars, candles, cosmetics, boxes, envelopes, paper bags or parcels by hand.

In the design, though, you have to allow for the way the cutting works. If there is a thin frame or border near the edge, even a small shift in the cut line can become visible. It is safer to prepare a background that runs to the bleed, or to leave out a thin frame running very close to the edge of the circle.

File check and graphic design

When you place the order you choose one of the file preparation options, depending on whether you have a design ready and how confident you are that it is technically correct.

• No file check - the answer for agencies, designers and anyone confident about their design. The file goes into production without further graphic control.
• File check by a designer - we check the technical preparation of the design: format, bleed, safe distances, image quality, colours and how the file was saved. On round stickers we also check the correct diameter, how the elements sit in relation to the cut line, whether important content is set back from the edge of the circle, the legibility of small text, the quality of QR codes and barcodes, and how well the design suits the material chosen. This option is worth choosing especially for designs made in Canva, an online generator, an office program, a presentation app or with AI tools. The file can look correct on screen and still need adjusting to the diameter, the circular shape, the bleed, CMYK, the resolution or the safe margins.
• Simple graphic design - if you have no design of your own, send us your logo, the text, the product name, contact details, codes, artwork and your guidelines on colour. We will prepare a simple design matched to the diameter, material and use of the sticker.

The check by a designer is about technical matters. It does not cover typos, prices, dates, batch numbers, QR codes and barcodes, compositions, weights, use-by dates, warnings, contact details, legal wording or whether the label complies with the regulations in force. The customer is responsible for the accuracy of all the information.

How to prepare the file for print

The design is best prepared as a PDF that follows our specification. We also accept good quality JPG or PNG files. Photographs should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the design prepared in CMYK.

When preparing the file, watch a few things:

• Take care over the bleed - if artwork or a background runs to the edge of the sticker, prepare the right amount of bleed. Move the logo, text, QR code, barcode, composition, date, batch number, contact details and other important elements away from the edge of the circle.
• Watch frames near the edge - thin borders placed very close to the cut line can make even a small shift in the cut visible. A background prepared to bleed, or a wider inner margin, is the safer answer.
• Watch legibility on small diameters - a small surface is not the place for a lot of information. QR codes and barcodes should be a suitable size and have good contrast. Before sending the file it is also worth checking that they scan properly.
• Remember the colour of kraft - kraft paper has a brown shade of its own, so the print looks different on it than on a white stock. Stronger, dark colours, a clear logo, simple typography and good contrast work best.

Before sending the design, check all the content carefully: product names, compositions, prices, dates, batch numbers, barcodes and QR codes, contact details, website addresses, social media and the other information required on the label.
