EVE White plastic pens - product details
EVE White plastic pens - A promotional plastic pen with full-colour digital UV printing. On this model the marking is done on one side of the barrel only - a two-sided version is not in the price list and is not available. Minimum order 100 pieces, and the artwork is prepared free of charge.
EVE - a triangular barrel and full-colour printing
The EVE is a plastic promotional pen with a triangular cross-section. Instead of a classic round barrel it has three flat sides, and the printing goes on one of them. For printing that is a convenient arrangement: the mark does not wrap sharply around a curve, so it is easier to judge on the proof.
The shape also settles naturally between the fingers, which many people simply find comfortable.
We mark the EVE with full-colour digital UV printing in CMYK. That is a different technology from the one used on our metal pens, where we engrave with a laser and the mark is always single-colour. Here a logo can keep its colours, along with tonal transitions, shading and other elements that engraving cannot reproduce.
One important limitation: the EVE is available with one-sided printing only. There is no two-sided version and it cannot be added.
Dimensions and print area
The EVE is 140 mm long and 11 mm across. The print area is 50.0×6.0 mm.
A field of that length takes a logo with a company name beside it. With everything on a single side, it is worth deciding early what matters most - a logo with a name, or a name with a web address.

Full-colour UV printing
The ink is cured with UV light during printing, so the finished mark handles everyday use and contact with moisture and light, and needs no varnishing afterwards.
Unlike laser engraving, printing is not limited to one colour: a logo with several colours, soft transitions or fine tonal detail comes out as designed.
The file, the artwork and the proof
Prepare finished artwork in colour, in CMYK, at 1:1 scale, with text converted to curves.
No artwork ready? With an order placed with us we prepare it free of charge. E-mail your logo and the text that is to appear on the pen. Our designer will lay it out and send a proof for approval; production starts only once you accept it.

The minimum order is 100 pieces, produced in multiples of 50. The price steps in the calculator are 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000 pieces, and the unit price falls as the quantity grows.
The lead time appears in the calculator once you choose a configuration, counted from your approval of the proof. The first version of the design usually comes within 1-2 working days; each further round of changes adds one working day.

Can the EVE be printed on both sides?
No. This model is available with one-sided printing only. Under "Marking" in the calculator there is no two-sided option, and it cannot be added.
Why does this model have no two-sided printing?
That is how the offer for the EVE is set up: only one-sided printing is available and it cannot be extended to a second side. It is the exception in our pen range - the other plastic models let you choose between one and two printed sides.
What are the dimensions of the EVE?

What is the barrel made of?
Plastic. That is why we mark it with full-colour UV printing rather than laser engraving, which we use on metal pens.
How does the EVE differ from your metal pens?
In the marking technology. Metal pens are laser engraved and the mark is always single-colour. The EVE is printed in full CMYK, so a multi-colour logo, gradients and tonal transitions survive as designed.
What colours is the barrel available in?
The current versions are shown in the calculator on this page. We do not list them all in the description, because availability of individual colours can change.
What is the minimum order?
100 pieces, in multiples of 50. The price steps in the calculator are 100, 200, 300, 500, 1000 and 2000 pieces.
Why does the calculator change the quantity I enter?
Pens are produced in multiples of 50, so any other figure is rounded up to the nearest full multiple. You immediately see the price for the quantity that will actually be produced.
How many colours can I use in the design?
There is no need to limit it. We print in full CMYK, so a multi-colour logo, gradients and tonal transitions are all possible. Just remember the field is 50.0×6.0 mm, so very detailed artwork can lose legibility once scaled down.
How should the print file be prepared?
In colour, in CMYK, at 1:1 scale, with text converted to curves. The EVE needs only one design, because we print on one side. Before you send it, check all the names, phone numbers, web addresses and other details once more.
I have no artwork - what then?
With an order placed with us we prepare it free of charge. E-mail your logo and the text for the pen; our designer will lay it out and send a proof for approval.
What exactly should I send so the designer can start?
Your logo - ideally in vector form, though a good-quality raster file can work for printing - and all the text that is to appear on the pen: company name, address, phone number, website or a short slogan.
Will the print survive everyday use?

When does the lead time start?
From your approval of the proof, not from the day the order is placed. The current lead time appears in the calculator once you choose a configuration.
How does the EVE differ from your other plastic pens?
In two ways. First the shape: the EVE has a triangular cross-section with three flat sides instead of a round barrel. Second the marking: it is the only one of our plastic pens listed with one-sided printing only. The STARCO, TEK and GRAND all let you choose between one and two printed sides.
My logo only exists as a JPG or PNG. Is that enough?
For printing it can be, provided the file is good quality and large enough - printing reproduces raster images, unlike engraving. Send what you have and we will check whether it holds up at the size of the print area.
My logo is vertical, with the name under the symbol. How will it come out?
The field is 50 mm long but only 6 mm high, so stacked elements become small once scaled down and fine text suffers first. Our designer can move the line next to the symbol or propose a simpler arrangement. You will see the result on the proof before production.
