From disc to finished release
This group covers two things: making the discs and everything you pack them in - from one disc to a complete, sell-ready set.
- CD and DVD discs: pressing (replication from a glass master, for larger runs) or print with copying (for smaller runs). The result is a disc with your artwork.
- You pick the packaging separately, depending on whether you build a music release or a disc to mail out.
Which packaging to pick
From the most release-like to the simplest:
- Digipacks and ecopacks - cardboard packaging for a disc. A digipack has a plastic tray, an ecopack has no tray and uses recycled cardboard. Both look like part of an album.
- Plastic cases - the CD-Box is the classic with best protection, SLIM is thinner. A set is the case plus a printed cover or booklet.
- Envelopes - the lightest packaging for shipping, archiving and documentation, also as MediPack for medical facilities.
How to put it together
- A full music release: disc plus digipack or case plus booklet.
- A disc to send or attach to documents: disc plus envelope.
