What you can order

The “from” price is the lowest net price per piece in the price lists of the tile’s products (best option and the largest run of the stated threshold). You will see the price for your own configuration in the calculator.

Replication or copying?

In both cases you get a finished disc with print, but we make it differently. The choice mostly depends on the size of the run and on whether the content of the disc will change.

Replication (pressing)

A glass master is made first and the whole run is produced from it. The data is formed in the structure of the disc rather than burned, so it lasts longer and also works well with older players. The cost of the master is spread over all the discs, so the bigger the run, the better the deal.

Printing and copying (duplication)

The data is recorded onto ready-made discs in industrial duplicators, at low speed, and every copy is verified. It is convenient for smaller runs and for content that changes between batches. You can also order printed discs only, to record yourself.

If you need a few dozen discs or the content will change, choose copying. For a larger release it is worth comparing both technologies in the calculator.

Printing on the disc: methods

We lay a white underlay under a colour print first, because the silver surface of the disc would darken the ink. You pick the method to suit the run and the artwork.

  • Digital UV

    White underlay and full-colour CMYK, ink cured by UV lamp. It needs no printing plates, so it pays off even for small runs. A good choice for photos and complex artwork.

  • Offset

    White underlay and full-colour CMYK, close to photographic quality. Choose it for larger runs with rich artwork.

  • Screen printing (1-2 Pantone colours)

    Pantone inks cured by UV - colours from the swatch book, not mixed from CMYK. A smooth print with fine details and sharp edges. A simple logo with text fits in one or two colours.

  • Screen printing (3-5 Pantone colours)

    The same as 1-2 colour screen print, but for richer artwork that needs three to five Pantone colours.

Pantone colours are handled by screen print only - if your brand has a strictly defined corporate colour, that is the right way. The “from” price is the lowest net price per piece of the method (cheapest disc and largest run). Not every combination of disc, copying and printing is available - the calculator shows only the ones that can be combined.

You pick the packaging separately, depending on whether you build a music release or a disc to mail out. From the most release-like to the simplest:

Digipacks and ecopacks

Cardboard packaging for a disc. A digipack has a plastic tray, an ecopack has no tray and uses recycled cardboard. Both look like part of an album.

How to order

  1. Choose the disc and packaging

    Replication or printing with copying, quantity and packaging - separately or as a ready disc bundle. You see the price and lead time straight away in the calculator.

  2. Upload the artwork and content

    You upload the print artwork in the cart, together with your details, delivery and payment. For replication and copying you also supply the source content to record.

  3. Proof for approval

    You approve a new design on a proof before production. No design yet - order graphic design; want to see the result on paper - a proof print.

  4. Production and delivery

    Production starts once we have everything: a correct file, approval of the proof, payment and the source content. Delivery: DPD or InPost courier, InPost parcel locker or personal pickup in Łódź.

We count the lead time from your approval of the proof: replication 7-10 working days, printing and copying 3-5 working days (for the minimum run). The calculator shows the exact date.How to order - details →

The lead time is for the product’s minimum run and is counted from approval of the proof; for larger runs it may be longer. The minimum depends on the option you choose - the calculator shows it.

How to prepare your file for a disc

  • 12 × 12 cm squareSupply the artwork as a full square, do not cut out the circle yourself. We cut out the round print area and the centre hole, and the artwork should extend beyond the disc area.
  • Coated Fogra 27 profileFor discs it differs from paper (Coated Fogra 39) because the disc surface takes ink differently. It is the only product for which we change the profile.
  • CMYK, 300 dpiCMYK colour and 300 dpi at the target size. The other rules (fonts, PDF/X-1a:2001) are the same as for any print.
  • Content to recordFor copying: a master disc or a disc image (NRG, ISO or DDP 2.0) with an MD5 checksum, which lets us check that the file arrived complete.

From disc to finished release

This group covers two things: making the discs and everything you pack them in - from one disc to a complete, sell-ready set.

  • CD and DVD discs: pressing (replication from a glass master, for larger runs) or print with copying (for smaller runs). The result is a disc with your artwork.
  • You pick the packaging separately, depending on whether you build a music release or a disc to mail out.
