Business cards that draw attention before the details are even read

On some business cards the paper is only a background for the design, but in the Prestige version it is quite different. Here the substrate has its own colour, texture and way of catching the light. It can resemble fine canvas, carry thin ribs, have a felt-marked surface or a pearlescent or metallic sheen.

Such a card already looks different at the moment it is handed over, and the difference can be felt in the hand too. Depending on the paper chosen it can be calm and minimalist, more natural, artistic or clearly decorative.

Prestige business cards suit hotels, restaurants, beauty salons, clinics, law firms, photographers, jewellers, boutiques, architects, art studios, event companies and other brands for which presentation matters a great deal.

If you need a more classic card on smooth paper, look at the standard version. Eco business cards on papers with a natural, kraft character are available too. Prestige is the variant for people looking above all for a decorative, unusual substrate.

Two formats to choose from

Prestige business cards are available in two popular sizes:

• 90×50 mm - the classic and frequently chosen company card format. It lets you lay out a logo, a name, a job title, a phone number, an email address, a website, social media or a QR code comfortably.
• 85×55 mm - a format with proportions close to a payment card. It is a little more compact and goes well with modern, minimalist and orderly designs.

Both variants fit into wallets, card holders and cases.

Decorative papers - the most important element of a Prestige card

In this category it is above all the paper that decides how the finished card looks. 17 variants are available, grouped into several families differing in surface, shade and character.

ICEBLINK

A cream paper with a delicate structure resembling canvas. It has a warm, calm look and suits classic, elegant designs.

STARDREAM

A family of pearlescent and metallic papers:

• OPAL - a subtle pearlescent sheen,
• SILVER - a cool, metallic effect,
• CRYSTAL - a light, clean substrate with a refined character,
• GOLD - a stronger, decorative and very expressive variant.

STARDREAM works well when the paper is to be one of the most visible elements of the card.

RIVES Shetland Natural

A paper with a natural look and a tangible structure, available in two weights.

The lighter variant has a more subtle character, while the heavier weight gives a stiffer, more solid card.

DALI

Papers with a delicate structure of thin ribs, available in several shades including beige, white, light grey, corn and a deeper green.

They suit decorative, boutique and more individual designs.

MODIGLIANI

Felt-marked papers with a soft, distinctive structure. They are available in several shades including white, ecru, corn and light grey.

Their surface goes well with simple, elegant and more artistic designs.

CHAGALL

A white felt-marked paper with a delicate texture. The light substrate is versatile while clearly differing from standard smooth coated stock.

It works well for company cards and designs with a more presentable character.

If you do not know which paper to choose, start from the effect you want. STARDREAM gives a pearlescent or metallic sheen, ICEBLINK a canvas structure, RIVES a more natural look, DALI delicate ribs, and MODIGLIANI and CHAGALL a felt-marked surface.

The Prestige effect comes from the paper, not from film

We do not laminate Prestige business cards.

That is a deliberate choice. The papers in this category have their own surface: pearlescence, a metallic sheen, delicate ribs, a canvas structure or a felt-marked texture.

An additional layer of film would smooth the paper and reduce the visibility of exactly the features it was chosen for. It would also change how the card feels in the hand.

So with Prestige the paper itself plays the role of decorative finishing. Matching it well to the design and the character of the brand matters more here than any additional treatment.

Single- or double-sided printing

You can order Prestige business cards in two variants:

• Single-sided printing - works well for minimalist designs where a logo, a name and basic contact details are enough. More free space also lets the paper itself stand out more.
• Double-sided printing - gives extra room for information. One side can carry a logo or a graphic element, and the other the contact details, job title, website, social media, a QR code or the range of services.

With decorative papers a calm, orderly design often looks best. There is no need to use every free part of the surface, because the structure and colour of the substrate are part of the composition too.

Not only a contact card

Preparing the file - three variants

When placing an order you choose one of three ways of preparing the artwork:

• No checking - the file goes straight into production with no additional check. A variant for agencies, designers and people confident that the artwork was correctly prepared on the technical side.
• File checking by a graphic designer - we check the format, bleed, safe distances from the trim line, the quality of graphics, the colour and the way the file is saved, among other things. The check does not cover the content, such as typos, phone numbers, email addresses or the correctness of the other data. That is the customer's responsibility.
• Simple graphic design - if you have no finished file, send a logo, contact details and basic guidance. We will prepare a simple, elegant design matched to the format and the character of the decorative paper chosen.

A technical check can be particularly useful when the artwork was made in Canva, an online generator or with AI tools. Such files can have problems with bleed, the format, embedded fonts or the quality of the logo.

How to prepare the print file

It is best to send a PDF prepared in line with our specification. We also accept good quality JPG and PNG files.

Photographs and graphics should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the artwork should be prepared in CMYK.

With Prestige business cards, pay particular attention to a few things:

• Bleed and safe margins - if the background or graphics run to the edge, add bleed. Keep the name, logo, phone number, email address, QR code and other important elements away from the trim line. At such a small format even small variations during cutting are more visible.
• Paper colour - cream, beige, grey, green, gold, silver and pearlescent substrates affect the look of the print. Colours can look different than on white coated stock, so the artwork is best prepared with a particular paper in mind.
• Surface structure - on felt-marked and ribbed papers, avoid very small lettering and thin lines. A more strongly textured substrate can limit their legibility.
• Metallic papers - they work best with simple, high-contrast designs that leave some space and let the character of the substrate come through.
• QR code - it should be a suitable size with clear contrast. Before sending the artwork, check that it scans correctly and leads to the right page.
