Loyalty cards - We print customer and loyalty cards in a handy 85×55 mm format with rounded corners. They fit in a wallet, are comfortable in everyday use and work well in discount and loyalty schemes. Printing is double-sided on coated 350 gsm stock or Arktika GC1 300 gsm board. You can choose no finishing, or gloss, matte or soft-touch lamination. The cards can serve as regular customer, discount, stamp, membership, club or gift cards. The price of the version you choose is shown in the online calculator.

Customer cards that stay in the wallet

A loyalty card is a simple way to stay in touch with a customer after the visit or the shopping is over. It can remind them of a discount, the stamps or points they have collected, or the benefits waiting at the next visit.

We print the cards at 85×55 mm with rounded corners, close to the size of a classic payment card. They fit easily into a wallet, a card case or a business card holder and are comfortable to carry every day.

The rounded corners are not only about looks. The card is nicer to use, and the corners themselves are less prone to bending quickly than with a classic square cut.

In the calculator on this page you choose the paper, the finishing and how the file is prepared, and the price updates as you go.

Format and printing

We prepare the cards in one proven format:

  • 85×55 mm with rounded corners - a handy size close to a payment card, convenient to keep in a wallet.

Printing is always double-sided and full colour.

That makes it easy to separate the image side from the practical one. On the front you can put the logo, the company name, the name of the loyalty scheme, artwork or the card number.

The other side can carry stamp boxes, space for points, a discount code, a QR code, contact details, a website address or the short rules of the scheme.

Splitting it this way keeps the design legible without cramming all the information onto one surface.

Papers to choose from

We print the cards on two stiff stocks.

  • Coated 350 gsm - a versatile paper with a smooth surface and very good colour reproduction. It works well for discount, stamp and promotional cards and standard regular customer cards.
  • Arktika GC1 300 gsm - a stiff board with a more distinguished character. It suits VIP cards, gift cards, club cards and loyalty schemes where the card itself should also look more solid.

If you need a versatile card for an everyday loyalty scheme, coated 350 gsm is the practical choice.

Arktika GC1 300 gsm is worth considering for cards that should look more distinguished or that also serve as a gift or VIP card.

Finishing - lamination that helps protect the card

A customer card often spends weeks or months in a wallet alongside other cards, documents and banknotes. Over time it can wear, scratch and get dirty.

Lamination makes the surface more resistant to daily use and helps the print keep its looks for longer.

Your choices are:

  • No finishing - the economical version, especially practical for stamp cards and any card that has to be written on regularly.
  • Gloss lamination - strengthens colours and contrast. It suits photographs, strong colours and more promotional designs.
  • Matte lamination - reduces the sheen and gives a calmer, more restrained effect.
  • Soft-touch lamination - soft and velvety to the touch. It works well on VIP and club cards and more distinguished designs.

For coated 350 gsm, lamination is available on one side or on both.

With Arktika GC1 300 gsm, lamination is available on one side.

Stamp cards and lamination

If the card is meant for collecting stamps or for writing information in by hand, the choice of film needs thinking through.

On a laminated surface stamp ink takes less well and can dry far more slowly. An ordinary pen will not always write on it comfortably either.

In that case it is best to leave at least the side meant for stamps unlaminated, or to choose a configuration where only the image side is laminated.

What you can use customer cards for

The same format can be used in many ways.

The cards work well as:

  • discount cards - with information about a standing discount or other benefits,
  • regular customer cards - reminding people of the scheme and encouraging them to come back,
  • stamp cards - with boxes for stamps and a reward once the card is full,
  • membership and club cards - confirming membership of a scheme, a club or a group of customers,
  • gift cards - as a small voucher or present card,
  • cards with a QR or barcode - leading to the loyalty scheme, a registration form, a customer profile, a website, reviews or social media.

Loyalty cards work especially well where customers come back regularly: in beauty and hair salons, barbers, massage studios and spas, cafés, restaurants, cake shops, local shops, boutiques, hotels, gyms and other service businesses.

How to prepare the file for print

A PDF prepared to our specification works best. In selected cases we also accept good quality JPG or PNG files.

Prepare photographs and artwork at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the design in CMYK.

The design should include the right bleed if the background or artwork runs to the edge.

Keep the logo, text, phone number, QR code, card number and stamp boxes away from the cutting line. With rounded corners that matters especially - an important element placed too close to a corner can look wrong after finishing or fall partly into the rounded area.

If you are preparing a stamp card, check the size of the boxes as well. They should be large enough for the stamp impression to be legible and not to overlap the neighbouring boxes.

A QR code should be a reasonable size, high in contrast and with a safe margin. Before sending the design, scan it and make sure it leads to exactly the right address.

Your own file or help from a designer?

When you place the order you choose one of three file preparation options.

  • No file check - the design goes straight to print. This suits agencies, designers and anyone confident the file is prepared correctly.
  • File check by a designer - we check the technical side of the design: format, bleed, safe distances from the cutting line and the rounded corners, the quality of the logo and artwork, the colours and how the file was saved.
  • Simple graphic design - if you have no card ready, send us your logo, the text, the rules of the scheme, contact details, the layout of the stamp boxes and your guidelines. We will prepare a simple design at 85×55 mm with rounded corners.

The technical check does not cover the content.

We do not check typos, card numbers, discount codes, dates, terms or the accuracy of other details. The customer is responsible for them.

The check is particularly worth choosing if the design was prepared in Canva, an online generator, an office program or a similar tool. Files like these often have problems with bleed, format, fonts or safe margins.

Other materials you can pair with the card

A customer card is easy to pair with other company materials prepared in the same visual identity.

Classic business cards and vouchers, gift cards or thank-you cards can round out the set.

Once you know which paper and finish you want, set the parameters in the calculator and check the price for the run you need.

What format are the customer cards?

We print the cards at 85×55 mm with rounded corners.

It is a handy size, close to a classic payment card. It fits easily into a wallet, a card case or a business card holder.

Do the cards have rounded corners?

Yes.

We make all the cards with rounded corners.

The shape looks good, is comfortable to carry and stops sharp corners from bending quickly.

Are the cards printed on both sides?

Yes.

We print the cards on both sides in full colour.

One side can carry the logo and the image elements, the other the stamp boxes, the rules of the scheme, a QR code, the card number or contact details.

Which paper do you print the cards on?

Your choices are:

  • Coated 350 gsm,
  • Arktika GC1 300 gsm.

Coated 350 gsm is versatile and reproduces colours well.

Arktika GC1 300 gsm has more of a board-like, distinguished character.

Which paper should I choose for a loyalty card?

For a standard customer card, coated 350 gsm is a good, versatile choice.

If the card should look more distinguished, or serve as a VIP or gift card, Arktika GC1 300 gsm is worth considering.

Can the cards be laminated?

Yes.

You can choose the version with no finishing, or gloss, matte or soft-touch film.

For coated 350 gsm, lamination is available on one side and on both.

With Arktika GC1 300 gsm, lamination is available on one side.

Why laminate a customer card?

Film protects the printed surface from some of the scratches and scuffs that come from being carried in a wallet every day.

The card can then keep its looks for longer.

Lamination also changes the look and character of the surface, depending on the version chosen.

When should I choose gloss, matte or soft-touch film?

Gloss film brings out colours and contrast more strongly, so it suits colourful, promotional designs.

Matte reduces reflections and gives a calmer surface.

Soft touch is soft and velvety to the touch, which is why it is often chosen for VIP and club cards and more distinguished designs.

Does lamination get in the way on stamp cards?

Yes, it can.

Stamp ink takes less well on film and can need more time to dry. Writing with an ordinary pen can be harder too.

If the card is going to be stamped regularly, it is better to leave the side with the stamp boxes unlaminated or to choose a suitable lamination configuration.

Can I make a stamp card?

Yes.

It is one of the popular uses for loyalty cards.

On the back you can put the stamp boxes, the short rules for collecting them and information about the reward once the card is full.

Just remember to make the boxes large enough for the stamp you use.

Can I put a QR code or a barcode on the card?

Yes.

A QR code or barcode can lead to the loyalty scheme, a website, a registration form, a customer profile, a review page or social media.

The code should be a reasonable size, high in contrast and set back from the edges and the rounded corners.

Be sure to test that it works before printing.

Can the card carry a customer number or a discount code?

Yes.

A customer number, a scheme number, a discount code or short instructions for use can all be printed on the card.

Remember, though, that the technical check of the design does not cover whether such numbers, codes, dates or terms are correct.

Which trades do loyalty cards suit?

They work well in beauty and hair salons, barbers, massage studios, spas, cafés, restaurants, cake shops, bakeries, local shops, boutiques, gyms, dance schools, hotels, car washes and other service businesses.

They make most sense where the customer uses the service regularly and the card can be used on later visits.

Which file format is best for print?

A PDF prepared to our technical specification is best.

In selected cases we also accept good quality JPG or PNG files.

Photographs and artwork should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the design is best prepared in CMYK.

I have no design ready - what then?

When you place the order you can choose the simple graphic design option.

Send us your logo, the text, contact details, the rules of the scheme, the stamp boxes and your guidelines, and we will prepare a clear card at 85×55 mm with rounded corners.

If you already have your own design, you can order printing with no file check or choose the technical check by a designer.
