Thank-you vouchers - Vouchers and thank-you cards printed to your own design can do many jobs: a gift card, a discount coupon, an invitation or a small note slipped into a parcel. They come in A6, DL, 100×100 mm and 150×150 mm, on coated 250 gsm, coated 350 gsm or Arktika GC1 300 gsm board. You can choose single or double-sided printing and leave the card unlaminated or go for gloss, matte or soft-touch film. The price of a particular configuration appears straight away in the calculator.

Vouchers and thank-you cards that make a good impression

A small card can be a very simple but noticeable addition to what you offer. A voucher given as a present should look good the moment it changes hands, and a thank-you slipped into a parcel makes the whole order feel more considered.

These are materials the customer picks up, so it is not only the design that matters but also the format, the stiffness of the paper and the finish.

Vouchers and thank-you cards work well in online shops, boutiques, beauty salons, cosmetic and hair salons, for photographers, in restaurants and cafés, hotels, florists, handmade brands, wedding businesses and other service points.

In the calculator you choose the format, paper, printing and finish, and the price updates straight away. There is no need to send a separate enquiry for a quote.

What you can use vouchers and thank-you cards for

One card can serve very different purposes. You can use it as:

  • a gift card or gift certificate,
  • a coupon or discount card,
  • a loyalty card or a card for VIP customers,
  • an invitation or an occasional card,
  • a thank-you or a note slipped into a parcel,
  • an insert for packaging or a gift set,
  • a product card or a short note about the product,
  • a card with a QR code, a discount code or a request for a review.

Vouchers are especially practical when a customer buys a service or product as a present. They are used by beauty salons, spas, massage studios, restaurants, hotels, photographers, florists and dance schools.

Thank-you cards, in turn, work well in online sales. You can add a discount code for the next order, a QR code, a short message or an invitation to shop again.

Formats to choose from

Four formats are available:

  • A6 105×148 mm - a versatile, handy format with enough room for artwork, text, a QR code, a voucher number or the terms of a promotion. It works for gift and discount cards, invitations and thank-yous.
  • DL 99×210 mm - a slim, elongated format that fits DL envelopes. It is often chosen for a gift voucher, a gift certificate, an invitation or a services card, especially in the beauty, hospitality, food service and wedding trades.
  • 100×100 mm - a small square card suited to a thank-you with an order, a note slipped into a parcel or part of the packaging. It suits online shops, handmade products, cosmetics, candles and jewellery.
  • 150×150 mm - a larger square giving more room for artwork and text. It can serve as a thank-you, a voucher, an invitation or an occasional card, especially on minimalist, wedding and more representative designs.

Papers

We print vouchers and thank-you cards on three stocks:

  • Coated 250 gsm - it works well on standard vouchers, discount cards, thank-yous and parcel inserts. It is stiff enough, and its surface shows colours and artwork well.
  • Coated 350 gsm - thicker and noticeably stiffer. It suits gift cards, vouchers and materials meant to look more solid and be kept for longer.
  • Arktika GC1 board 300 gsm - a stiff board with a more distinguished character. It works on gift cards, invitations and elegant inserts for packaging.

It is worth matching the paper to the use. For a small thank-you slipped into every parcel, coated 250 gsm may be enough. For a voucher given as a present, a stiffer stock works better.

Single or double-sided printing

Single-sided or double-sided printing is available.

  • Single-sided printing - suited to simple thank-yous, small discount cards, notes for parcels and minimalist designs.
  • Double-sided printing - gives more room for content. The front can carry the main artwork, the name of the service and the logo, and the back the terms for using the voucher, the card number, a discount code, contact details, a QR code or social media details.

The second side is particularly useful when the card should look attractive and sparing from the front but still has to carry a few extra details.

Finishing - film for looks and feel

You can leave the card unlaminated or choose one of three finishes:

  • Gloss lamination - brings out the colours and adds a sheen to the surface. It suits photographs, vivid artwork and promotional designs.
  • Matte lamination - gives a calmer, more restrained look. It is often chosen for vouchers, invitations, thank-yous and material for the beauty, hotel and wedding trades.
  • Soft-touch lamination - creates a soft surface that is pleasant to the touch. It works well on gift cards, more representative vouchers and thank-yous added to exclusive products.

On the coated papers, lamination can be on one side or on both. For Arktika GC1 300 gsm board, lamination on one side is available.

Once you have chosen the paper, the calculator shows the finishes available for it.

On vouchers and thank-you cards the finish is especially noticeable, because these are materials the customer usually receives straight into their hand or finds with the product in a parcel.

File preparation - three options

When you place the order you choose one of three ways of preparing the file:

  • No file check - for agencies, designers and anyone confident the design is technically correct. The file goes straight into production.
  • File check by a designer - we check the format, bleed, safe distances from the cutting line, image quality, colours and how the file was saved. The check does not cover the content, including typos, prices, voucher numbers, discount codes or terms.
  • Simple graphic design - if you have no design ready, send us the text, your logo, photographs, contact details, a discount code, details of the promotion and the other material needed. We will prepare a simple design matched to the format you chose.

The technical check is worth choosing especially if the design was prepared in Canva, an online generator or with AI tools. Files like these can have problems with the format, the bleed, the safe margins or the quality of the artwork used.

How to prepare the file for print

The best format is a PDF prepared to our specification. In selected cases we also accept good quality JPG and PNG files.

Photographs and artwork should be at 300 dpi at 1:1 scale, and the design prepared in CMYK.

If a background or artwork runs to the edge, add the right amount of bleed. Place text, logos, QR codes, voucher numbers, contact details and other important information a safe distance from the cutting line.

If the card carries a QR code, take care over its size and its contrast with the background, so that it can be scanned easily once printed.

Before sending the file, also check all the content, the voucher numbers, discount codes, expiry dates, contact details and the terms for using the card.

Looking for a different character?

If you want a more natural look, take a look at the eco version on suitable papers. And if the voucher or thank-you should be more decorative, see the Prestige version printed on decorative papers.

Set the format, paper, printing and finish in the calculator, and the price of the configuration you choose appears straight away.

FAQ

Thank-you vouchers - questions and answers

Need help? Contact us

What can vouchers and thank-you cards be used for?

They can serve as gift cards, gift certificates, discount coupons, loyalty cards, invitations, notes for parcels, packaging inserts, product cards, occasional cards or other promotional material handed to customers.

Which voucher format should I choose?

For classic vouchers, DL or A6 are often chosen. DL has a slim format and fits an envelope well, while A6 is versatile and handy. The 150×150 mm square suits more decorative designs, and 100×100 mm small cards and thank-yous slipped into parcels.

Which format should I choose for a thank-you in a parcel?

100×100 mm, A6 and 150×150 mm all work well. The 100×100 mm square is small and practical, A6 gives more room for a message and a discount code, and 150×150 mm gives a larger surface for a more decorative design.

Can I order double-sided printing?

Yes. We print vouchers and thank-you cards on one side or on both. With double-sided printing, one side can carry the main artwork and message and the other the terms for using the voucher, a discount code, contact details, a QR code or an extra message.

Which paper should I choose for a premium voucher?

Coated 350 gsm or Arktika GC1 board 300 gsm works well. Both stocks are stiff and suit gift cards, certificates, invitations and material the customer is meant to keep for longer. Matte or soft-touch film is also worth considering.

Which paper should I choose for thank-you cards in parcels?

Coated 250 gsm, coated 350 gsm and Arktika GC1 300 gsm are available. For simple thank-yous slipped into a larger number of parcels, coated 250 gsm suits well. If the card should be stiffer and more distinguished, you can choose coated 350 gsm or Arktika GC1 300 gsm.

Is it worth laminating vouchers?

Yes, especially if they will be handled often or you want a particular finish. Gloss film strengthens colours, matte gives a calmer look, and soft touch creates a soft, velvety surface.

Is lamination available on every paper?

Yes, but the range of versions depends on the stock. On the coated papers you can choose lamination on one side or both. With Arktika GC1 300 gsm board, lamination on one side is available. The calculator shows the options once you have chosen a particular paper.

How does gloss film differ from matte?

Gloss film brings out colours more strongly and goes well with photographs and vivid artwork. Matte gives a calmer, more restrained look and is often chosen for vouchers, invitations, thank-yous and company materials.

When should I choose soft-touch film?

When you want a soft, velvety surface. Soft touch works well on gift cards, vouchers, invitations and thank-yous added to more exclusive products.

Can I put a QR code or a voucher number on the card?

Yes. The design can carry a QR code, a voucher number, a discount code, an expiry date or the terms of use. The QR code should be a suitable size, have good contrast and sit a safe distance from the edge. The technical check does not cover whether numbers, codes or dates are correct.

Does the file check cover the content?

No. The check is about the technical preparation of the design for print. We do not check typos, prices, voucher numbers, discount codes, expiry dates, terms or whether the content matches the customer's offer. The customer is responsible for their accuracy.

What does the file check by a designer cover?

The designer checks the technical preparation of the design, including the format, bleed, safe distances from the cutting line, image quality, colours, how the file was saved and whether it meets our technical requirements.

Can I send a design prepared in Canva?

Yes. It is best saved as a print-ready PDF. With designs prepared in Canva it is worth choosing the check by a designer, since they may need the format, bleed, safe margins or the quality of the artwork used corrected.

Can I order a simple graphic design?

Yes. Send us the text, your logo, photographs, contact details, a discount code, the voucher number and your basic guidelines on how it should look. We will prepare a simple design matched to the format you chose.
