Set the right poster format in Canva and, again, take care of bleeds. At a large size, also watch the resolution of the elements - a graphic that looked nice on a small card may turn out too small on a poster and come out blurry.
Go for one strong message
Choose a template with a clear space for a headline and graphic. The most important information - what, where and when - should be readable from several metres. The rest of the details can be smaller. A poster that wants to say everything at once says nothing.
Check readability
Do a simple test: step a few paces back from the screen and see what catches your eye first. If it is the key message - good. If it disappears into the background, enlarge it or simplify its surroundings. You will send the finished design to print as advertising posters, which will nicely render the colours and format.

In Canva, choose the print-ready PDF download option, tick the 3 mm bleed, and - if your Canva plan allows it - switch the colours to CMYK. We do not accept RGB files.
